British Safety Council British Safety Council International Award for Safety

In April 2009 Ashridge won The British Safety Council's International Safety Award for the seventh consecutive year. This award is presented to companies who demonstrate significant achievements in health & safety as well as excellent accident statistics. Indeed, we have just celebrated a 4th consecutive year of ZERO accidents. We completed all of our contracts in 2009 (265,000 hours of work) with no RIDDOR 95 accidents to any of our staff or sub-contractors.  Have a look at our stats here.

We are extremely proud that 98% of our employees have passed the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) Health & Safety Test and have been accredited with the relevant Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card.

All plant operators within the Company hold a Construction Plant Certification Scheme (CPCS) card and log book.  This fulfils the Major Contractors Group (MCG) initiative of having a fully qualified and competent workforce.

A number of our Supervisors & Managers have also successfully passed the CITB Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) which has also contributed to the overall safety on all our construction sites.
